Computerized Assessment
Computerized assessment is based on the acupuncture system, and measures electric response at acupuncture points. To read more about the groundbreaking experiments confirming that the acupuncture system is a measurable electromagnetic network, see Robert O. Becker, M.D.'s excellent book, The Body Electric.
The computer system can read the balance of energy in your lungs or other organs; it can reflect your reactions to food and food additives. It can show stress from reactions to dust, molds, and other allergens, toxic chemicals, or metals; from infections; and from your emotional state. This type of assessment is non-invasive, has been clinically correlated to have excellent accuracy, and is economical, and is commonly used by medical professionals in Germany. However, it is classified as non-medical and non-diagnostic here in the United States. Therefore, these are called assessments rather than scans or tests, and we say that they indicate reactivity to food or other substances, rather than that they diagnose allergy. However, for more than six years, our clinical experience has been that when our clients avoid the items that have been indicated as reactive, their symptoms subside.
The Comprehensive Assessment:
Foods, Food Additives, Food Dyes Heavy Metals, Environmental Chemicals, Biologicals, Hormones
We developed this panel from the 14,000 items available for assessment in our computer system. From her many years of clinical experience, Dr. Howard selected the items most likely to be associated with allergic response, and Gene Arbetter put them into a comprehensive assessment panel. Other practitioners with this type of computer system often test these items one at a time, a long and tedious process. This panel takes less than a half hour to complete.
The Healthy Aging Assessment:
Neurotransmitters, Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids, Hormones
Dr. Howard developed this panel based on research by a healthy aging specialist who determined the neurotransmitters, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and hormones that are primary in the aging process. Some examples are serotonin, dopamine, GABA, vitamins A, B's, C, D, and E; boron, calcium, magnesium and zinc. These are all in a convenient panel that takes about ten minutes to complete.
The Stress Filters Assessment
This panel is integral to our computer assessment system, and measures reactivity to possible stressors to your state of well-being - including emotional stress, dietary stress, stress from environmental pollutants, structural stress (such as spinal or shoulder stress from computer postures), dental stress, stress from common pathogens - viral, fungal, and bacterial - excretory stress from poor elimination or poor lymphatic circulation, circulatory stress, and many others.
Supplement Assessments
Our computer system has the ability to test your reactivity to the supplements you are taking and your proper dosage. We have saved people tens or sometimes hundreds of dollars a month by helping them reduce their supplements to the ones that really are of value to them, and by finding out that very often, "less is more."
Other Individualized Assessments
We are able to assess response to 14,000 items in our computer. For example, we can test reactivity to all the common fruits, vegetables, nuts, beans, grains, and oils; and to any body product, cleaning product, or other item that you bring in. We have assisted clients in determining which kinds of flooring, fabrics, carpeting and paints to use in doing a home rehab.
